Fresh fruit is always the way to go on a hot summer day and this Patriotic Flag Fruit Platter is no exception. It’s super easy (no-bake recipe) to put together, and the bright colors make a big impact.

- Red grapes
- Bananas (brush them with lemon juice to prevent browning)
- Apples (brush them with lemon juice to prevent browning)
A great thing about fruit platters is that you can make them ahead of time! When you’ve put your fruit tray together, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and put it flat in the fridge. Any time you include apples or bananas (or any other fruit that browns with exposure to air) brush on a little lemon juice to keep them looking fresh and colorful.
A well-cooled fruit platter should keep in the fridge for a few days. Be aware, though, that you might lose some color! Apples will absorb color from brighter fruits like raspberries and might appear “stained”. Don’t worry, it will still taste great! If you really want to make a statement with your colors though, serve your fruit tray within a day to keep the fruit bright and bold.
